How to Manage Availability
- 1. Access the Availability Settings — Log in to your Loxala account. Navigate to the “Dashboard” and click on the “Availability” tab. Your current availability status will be displayed at the top of this section.
- 2. Select Your Availability Status — Full-Time: — Choose this status if you’re available for full-time roles or ongoing projects. Part-Time: — Select this if you’re only open for part-time roles or smaller projects. Not Available: — Use this status if you’re currently unavailable for any new projects. Flexible: — This status indicates that you are open to various project types, depending on the client's requirements.
- 3. Adjusting Availability — To Update Your Status: — Click the dropdown under the “Availability” tab. Select the desired status and click the “Save” button. Your availability status will update immediately. Auto-Switch to "Not Available": — Once you accept a new project, your status will automatically switch to “Not Available” to prevent overbooking.
- 4. Modifying Availability After Accepting a Project — If you wish to change your status to Full-time, Part-time, or Flexible after accepting a project: — Click on the “Edit Availability” button. A pop-up will notify you that changing availability will result in a 1% deduction on upcoming projects, in addition to the primary project fee. Click “Confirm” to proceed.
- 5. Frequency of Status Change — You can update your availability status as often as needed, with changes taking effect immediately. Your status will be visible to clients browsing freelancer profiles.
Tips for Managing Availability
- Update Frequently: Set your status to reflect your actual availability to avoid missed opportunities or over-commitment.
- Use “Flexible” Wisely: Choose the flexible option when you’re unsure of your workload, but still want to receive project invites.
- Respond to Projects Quickly: Set availability to full-time or part-time only if you can actively respond to project invitations.
