How to Manage Account Settings & Privacy
- 1. Access Your Account Settings — Log in to your Loxala account. Click on the “Settings” tab in the main dashboard. Navigate through different settings, such as General Settings, Notifications, Privacy, and Security.
- 2. Adjust Notification Preferences — Job Management Notifications: — New Project Invitations: Receive notifications for new client invites. Project Updates: Get updates on changes to active projects, such as deadline adjustments or requirements. Proposal Status: Enable alerts for proposal acceptance or rejection. Job Recommendations: Set notifications for job opportunities matching your skills. Deadline Reminders: Receive reminders for upcoming project deadlines. Message Notifications: — You can silence message notifications to avoid disruptions. Quiet Hours: — Set specific quiet hours to pause notifications during selected times/days.
- 3. Manage Privacy Settings — Profile Visibility Options: — Clients Only: Only logged-in clients can view your profile. Public Visibility: Anyone, including external users, can see your profile. Private Mode: Only you and admins can view your profile. Search Appearance: — Full Details: Show complete details like skills and experience. Limited Details: Display only basic info, such as job title and name. Hidden: Remove your profile from search results.
- 4. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) — Two-Factor Authentication Options: — Go to the “Security” tab within settings. Toggle the 2FA switch to enable/disable. Google Authenticator: Scan a QR code to link the app and enter the verification code. Editing 2FA: — Confirm your current password. Update the method and verify changes through SMS or Google Authenticator.
- 5. Change Your Password — To change your password: — Go to the “Password & Security” tab. Enter your current password to confirm identity. Enter a new password that meets the security criteria (at least 8 characters, mix of uppercase/lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters). Re-enter the new password to confirm and save changes.
